Accessibility Statement

Digi-Pramaan is built to conform with the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) 3.0 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

Conformance status

This system is designed and developed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. It has not yet undergone a formal third-party accessibility audit — this statement reflects the standard the system is built and tested against, not an independent certification.

Measures we have taken

Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, carries a skip-to-content link, and gives visible focus to the control currently selected. Interactive elements meet a 44x44 pixel minimum touch target. Status is never conveyed by colour alone — every status also carries text or an icon with a text label. Images carry meaningful alternative text, and forms report errors in text, not colour alone.

Known limitations

Compliance reports downloaded as PDF are not currently produced as tagged, accessible PDFs (WCAG 1.3.1). If you rely on assistive technology to read a report, download it in the DOCX format instead, which is available alongside every PDF this system generates. We are working to close this gap.

Reporting an accessibility barrier

If you encounter a barrier using this system, tell us. Write to accessibility@doca.gov.in with the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use, if any. We aim to acknowledge every report within five working days.
